Arjun Atwal and other PGA TOUR pros will be wearing saffron-colored ribbons this week at Sedgefield Country Club to honor the six Sikhs killed in the Aug. 5 massacre at a Wisconsin temple, as well as the police officer who was wounded in the attacks.
The only Indian winner ever in a PGA TOUR event, Atwal is now even par 144 for two rounds and was tied 49th after making the cut on the line.
Born 3/20/1973 in Asansol, India, pro golfer Arjun Atwal attended Nassau Community College, and studied Liberal Arts. He currently
resides in Windermere, FL. Arjun
turned Pro in 1995, and became one of the leading players on the Asian Tour. Arjun was the second Indian golfer to earn membership on the European Tour, and he was the first to win on that tour with a five stroke victory in the 2002 Caltex Singapore Masters.
